Yeah, I've been thinking about it a lot. I don't know enough about the genre/trend/approach to say for sure, but I'm curious if it culturally manifested during the pandemic. I know I got a lot of reading done during that time, and I wrote a few stories about a guy stuck in an abandoned hotel. I hope I live long enough to see a really good breakdown of the influence of the pandemic on literature--of course, we'll need hindsight on that.
Yeah, it's a thin book. I read through it really quickly. Some of her others look really long. This, to her, is like a short story to the rest of us. I think it's a good gateway to her work

I've watched the Soderbergh movie "Contagion" many times during the heat of the pandemic. I am not cozy.
